Tony Hawk Rolls to Game Boy Color

Activision will release a portable version of their console skateboarding title this spring

Thrasher: Skate and Destroy isn't going to be the only skateboarding game on the block for the Game Boy Color this year - Activision are currently shrinking down their own skating series, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, as well.

Currently being worked on at Natsume's Japanese development studio (the same studio responsible for Jeff Gorden XS Racing, Wrestlemania 2000 and Bassmasters for the Game Boy Color), Tony Hawk will be a specific 2D rendition of the game released recently on PlayStation. It's unclear whether the Game Boy Color version of the game will be Color-exclusive (taking advantage of the faster processor) or if it will be backward compatible, but we do know it will feature link-cable support so two players can thrash against each other on different units.

Activision are currently planning a release of Tony Hawk at the end of March.
