Machine Hunter

EA's first foray into the world of outdoor sports

Electronic Arts have announced Master Hunter, the first title under the new EA Sports Outdoors banner.

"Electronic Arts has recognised the popularity of outdoor sports and believes that it is time to make great games for these enthusiasts," said Randy Dersham, executive producer for EA Sports Outdoors. "Our goal is to make outdoor games with the same quality standard as Madden Football, NBA Live, NHL Hockey and all the other award-winning EA Sports franchises."

The game is set in a true 3D world featuring six different hunting regions. You'll be able to kill animals from either a third or first-person perspective in three different body positions - standing, kneeling and prone (lying down).

As usual, the noble deer will be the object of your aggression, with three breeds initially on offer - whitetail, blacktail and mule deer. Further quarry and weapons will be available to download in the future.
