| Outcast II Coming to PlayStation2 |
Infogrames let loose info on next-generation title in development
Infogrames came to visit us today, demoing Mission: Impossible and Smurfs for PlayStation, but the real news wasn't in playable form.
Infogrames, who officially stated at their August Gamers' Day in Monterey that they will develop games for PlayStation2, have revealed one of their more highly anticipated PlayStation2 titles - Outcast II. Although not an "official company announcement", an Infogrames official told us that the game is indeed planned for PS2.
The PC game Outcast, developed by Appeal, hit store shelves in early September and received a warm welcome for its smooth, playable integration of acting, plot and character development, without sacrificing gameplay. Although not confirmed, it's likely that Appeal will develop the PlayStation2 version simultaneously with the next PC version.
