| Namco Announce Namco Museum |
Rare foray into N64 territory for Namco
Namco are launching an N64 version of retro compilation Namco Museum. Namco Museum 64, as the game is called, is set to ship in time for Christmas and will feature all of the following arcade classics (taken from Namco Museums 1 and 4 for PlayStation):
Pac-Man
Ms. Pac-Man
Dig-Dug
Galaga
Galaxian
Pole Position
"These classic games are still best-sellers today in their most recent incarnations on Game Boy Color and the PlayStation, and we expect the same results on the N64," said Namco's Mike Fischer.
The game, which is being developed by Mass Media (StarCraft 64) for Namco, runs on a 4Mb cartridge and is expected to ship with a very low retail price.
"It was interesting to kind of shift gears and work on a new platform," said Namco Museum 64's Producer Dana Christianson. "This is a safe first step for us."
