Infogrames scrap planned port of PC adventure title
While Infogrames have recently made multiple headlines for their continuing support of Sega's new console, their considerable line-up has just taken an incredible blow with the news that Outcast is no longer headed to the Dreamcast.
We received word from Infogrames that this phenomenal PC adventure title had been quietly cancelled, but no reason was given. We expect that Infogrames decided a revision of the voxel-based engine wasn't worth the effort, or perhaps there was some concern as to how the game would fare in a genre that has rapidly become crowded on the DC.
Either way, we're quite disappointed with the news, as the game was easily one of the best on the schedule for the Dreamcast next year. Let's hope they have a change of heart.
