Army Men: Air Attack is on its way to Nintendo 64 courtesy of 3DO
We've learned that a version of Army Men: Air Attack is being developed by 3DO for the N64. Company CEO Trip Hawkins confirmed that the title, which may or may not be the company's last effort for the console, is already underway.
Based on the PlayStation game of the same name, Air Attack pits players as helicopter pilots in the ongoing battle between the plastic soldiers of the Green and Tan forces. In a similar vein to Nuclear Strike, gamers must rescue wounded allies while blasting away just about everything else. Considering the fact that the PlayStation title runs in a semi-high-resolution mode, it seems safe to assume that the N64 incarnation of the game will feature similar options through the use of the 4Mb Expansion Pak.
Army Men: Air Attack is scheduled for release mid-next year. As soon as more information on the game, which is still in the early stages, becomes available, we'll have it for you.
