Codemasters give their music game the perfect marketing angle by plugging MTV into the equation
Codemasters today announced that they've worked out the perfect angle on marketing their forthcoming music game for PlayStation. Music Creation 2000 is now called MTV Music Generator and has full support from MTV, including spots on MTV and off-air marketing promotions.
"MTV is the obvious partner for us to team up with and launch this first-of-its-kind music-based product," said Michael Hayes, Codemasters' Worldwide Head of Sales and Marketing. "With Codemasters' innovative and mould-breaking product, combined with the powerful music brand, MTV Music Generator is guaranteed to be one of the hit titles for PlayStation this Christmas."
"We're excited to be a part of this innovative music product launch," said Lisa Silfen, Vice President of Consumer Products, MTV. "MTV Music Generator will give music fans the chance to create their very own music and music videos, regardless of their musical skills."
MTV Music Generator is a music creation program that enables players to manipulate more than 4,000 pre-recorded riffs and instrument sound effects, and compose songs, create 3D videos and participate in a jam session with up to three other musicians.
