Sports Get Extreme on Dreamcast

Snowboard, jump off a cliff and more

You knew it was coming sooner or later: the "extreme" invasion is headed to Dreamcast. Norwegian developers Innerloop, best know for their work on the PC flight combat title Joint Strike Fighter, have announced that they're currently hard at work on an extreme sports title for the Dreamcast.

Originally slated for the Nintendo 64 as part of a deal with Eidos, the game, tentatively entitled Extreme Sports, is being re-tooled and is slated to hit Dreamcast some time next spring. It will offer multiple sports for you to get "extreme" in, including mountain biking, snowboarding, four-wheelers, hang-gliding and parachuting. No word yet on extreme walking, but we'll keep you posted. Expect more information a bit closer to the game's release date.
