Pokémon Yellow becomes Nintendo's fastest-selling game in history
It's only been on shelves in the US since October 18, but Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition has broken Nintendo's fastest-selling game record. In just two weeks it has sold more than one million cartridges, breaking the original record held by The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Nintendo's special edition Pokémon Game Boy Color (which comes packaged with Pokémon Yellow) has sold more than 80,000 units since it hit the shelves on October 25. More than 280,000 gamers pre-ordered the game, proving to the world that it doesn't matter if it's just Pokémon in a different outfit.
