Street Fighter III Gets Ready For DC Debut

Capcom reveal new info about their DC Street Fighter III conversion

Capcom have released more details about their upcoming Dreamcast conversion of Street Fighter III. We've known the name (Street Fighter III: W Impact) for a long time, but we've now got some new information for you.

The game features the standard arcade mode, a mirror copy of the hard-to-find arcade game, as well as a versus mode. In the versus mode you can select the Super Art for each round, the handicap and the fighting stage - what more could you possibly want? There's also a training mode where you can practise your moves and whatnot - standard stuff, although many of Capcom's previous games have lacked this nicety.

Finally, there's the option mode where you can configure the buttons, adjust the screen and sound, select the Super Arts screen to be off or on (if on, when doing a Super Arts move the screen will flash blue and white, just like in the arcade; if off, the background will stay the same during the move).

It looks like Capcom are all set to give Dreamcast owners an appropriate home version of Street Fighter III. The game is set for Japanese release on December 16 for 6,800 yen (around £40).
