Dark Sector: The Next Big Online Juggernaut? page 2 of 2

The game isn't going to be confined to one planet or space station either. Players will have a chance to roam around from space station to space station and get in crazy dogfights along the way, so not only is this game an action shooter title, it's also a space fighter. If you get bored of putting holes in people on the space stations, just pop out into space for a little bit of action. You'll even be able to take a visit to an arena station and make bets on who will win some of the matches. I'm sure you're as excited as we are about this announcement, so don't worry - we'll keep you informed. In the meantime, check out more about the game below, straight from the developers themselves.

Additional features:

  • Players can band together in formal syndicates, seeking to invade and occupy the multitude of resource fortresses in the game world.
  • There are Challenge Arenas where players can hold grudge matches, wager on matching their skills against others and compete in team battles and ladder matches.
  • It uses an advanced Unreal Tournament engine featuring a new hardware-only renderer exploiting the latest advances in graphics technology, such as T&L, skeletal deformation, multi-texturing, inverse-kinematics, advanced surface lighting and a myriad of other improvements.
  • Space flight gameplay will allow players to travel between space stations and engage in gut-wrenching dogfights.
  • Dark Sector is an evolving game where new elements are regularly introduced after the game's debut, enriching and expanding the gaming experience.
