| Connectix Win Against Sony Injunction |
The Virtual Game Station to continue selling
The injunction barring Connectix from making their Virtual Game Station was lifted after they won an appeal allowing the use of reverse engineering to develop their product. The Virtual Game Station allows use of PlayStation games on Mac systems and has been out for around a year. Sony sued Connectix last year when the product was released, claiming that their copyright was infringed upon by the creation of the Game Station. Despite the ruling, Sony are planning on going ahead with the lawsuit anyway.
In the meantime, Connectix are going to grab as much cash as they can by shipping the emulator for the Macintosh immediately. Connectix are also planning to release a version of the Virtual Game Station to work with Windows very soon.
