200,000 Online Dreamcasters in Europe

30 per cent of console owners enter Dreamarena

Sega have announced that more than 200,000 Dreamcast owners across Europe are using their consoles online - that amounts to around 30 per cent of the 700,000 units sold. These impressive figures confirm Dreamcast's position as one of the fastest growing pan European Internet access providers.

"As the pioneers of interactive games consoles, we will continue to develop Dreamcast as a multi-purpose platform, as well as providing our growing online community with the ultimate portal for gamers," said JF Cecillon, CEO of Sega Europe.

Does that mean we might actually get a proper online game in the near future?
