Ubi Soft to develop games based on Disney film

Disney Interactive and Ubi Soft Entertainment have announced that they will develop, produce and distribute new games based on Disney's upcoming animated feature film, Dinosaur. The agreement covers a range of formats, including PlayStation, PlayStation2, Dolphin, Dreamcast and PC. The movie is scheduled to open May 26 in the states and Christmas 2000 in Europe.

"Disney Interactive remain on course, firmly committed to expanding our presence in the game console market," said Jan Smith, President of Disney Interactive. "We are convinced that the combined talents of Ubi Soft and Disney Interactive will render all the magic of the Dinosaur universe and enrich it with new interactive adventures."

How can it fail? When has a movie licence ever been disappointing?
