New Psygnosis games

Sequels in the offing from Liverpool developer

With the development of Wipeout 3 already confirmed, Psygnosis have announced three new titles bound for PlayStation and PC.

Destruction Derby 3
With DD 3, Psygnosis have added a bevy of new features, including more realistic vehicles, spectacular crashes and explosions, and dramatic vehicular carnage. Featuring 25 tracks, all designed to promote maximum destruction, players will for the first time be able to customise their cars. Offering more car models than before, DD3 is packed with multiplayer games, the well-liked Destruction Mode, rooftop arenas and the new "Crazy Tracks."

Rollcage Extreme
Due in Spring 2000 is Psygnosis' Rollcage Extreme, which continues the adrenaline-pumping racing found in the first of the series. With 20 new tracks spread over six new environments, a variety of all-new game modes, including a Stunt mode (which enables you to perform tricks such as the half-pipe to gain points), a Rubble Soccer game, a Survivor mode, and a Destruction Time Attack and a multiplayer tournament mode, Extreme sounds like seriously fun car carnage.

Colony Wars: Red Sun
With a strong cinematic feel seen through 28 FMV sequences and a soundtrack recorded by a professional orchestra, Colony Wars: Red Sun appears to deliver the highest level of space entertainment with some of the high production values seen on the PlayStation. Players take on the role of independent agent Valdemar, a Han Solo-type military mercenary, and can now select their own missions throughout the game, helping or hurting the Navy or the League. Red Sun will feature 50 missions packed with multiple objectives; more than 30 new weapons; eight ships with upgradable weapons and options; and five solar systems including two from Vengeance. Adding to the game are even further developed graphic enhancements, including new lighting effects, interactive nebulae and gaseous atmospheres.
