Two new Microsoft PC pads
Microsoft have unveiled two new joypads for the SideWinder range. The Dual Strike is a controller that combines the functions of a game pad with the keyboard and mouse. The idea is that it will help those who struggle to combine keyboard and mouse simultaneously when playing PC games (and who doesn't?). The pad features a rotating pod which enables you to control characters more easily in first-person shoot 'em ups and games such as Tomb Raider. You can program the settings to suit, too.
The Game Pad Pro is an improved version of Microsoft's best-selling pad and it offers both proportional and digital control in the same directional pad. The proportional control means smooth, continuous movement (analogue) while the digital side provides a precise response. Both pads will be unveiled at the E3 show in Los Angeles later this week.
