Crawfish to produce GBC version of Godzilla
Croydon developer Crawfish have been appointed by Crave Entertainment to produce the Game Boy Color version of Godzilla. The game will be based on the forthcoming cartoon series aimed at 8-10-year-olds and promises a wealth of reptilian tomfoolery. Crawfish are best known for their GBC versions of the WWF series and Bust-A-Move 2 and 3, all for Acclaim. They also converted Rainbow Six for Red Storm Entertainment.
"We chose Crawfish for many reasons, including its previous exemplary titles and experience," said Matthew Paul, producer at Crave Games. "However, what clinched the deal were the game design ideas. They really understood the new cartoon show and characters, and created an innovative game around that premise."
Cameron Sheppard, managing director of Crawfish Interactive added, "We're very excited to be working on Godzilla: The Series with Crave and have been impressed with their enthusiasm for the GBC - both Crawfish and Crave believe in designing and creating the best games possible for the handheld."
The game will be released in November.
