Valve shooter tops PC Gamer poll
Half-Life has claimed the top spot in PC Gamer's fourth annual All Time Top 100 poll, a list decided by the magazine team itself. Valve Software's classic first-person shooter beat off competition from previous winners Civilization and Quake to win the award. The gong was presented to Sierra product manager, Lisa Humphries, at a party held at London's Little Havana bar on May 5.
"This must be one of the least surprising outcomes to our Top 100 deliberations to date," said PC Gamer's Mark Donald. "Half-Life's claim to the top spot is irresistible. It's the best game we've ever played and while it's too early to say for sure, we are expecting a similar outcome to the PC Gamer reader awards which will be announced in our September edition".
