Future Gamer: Issue 29 £0.00

Sega's marketing machine opens a sleepy eye in the run-up to the Dreamcast's European launch on September 23, with the announcement of their launch games line-up and another 20 titles to be released before Christmas. Check it out. Elsewhere you'll learn why you won't be able to play potential blockbuster DK64 on your bog-standard N64. Dive in...

We've managed to produce some great game coverage as always, including a review of Omega Boost on the PlayStation, and a preview of Soul Fighter on the Dreamcast so make sure you linger on these a while.

And if that wasn't enough, your favourite regulars are all here too including Feedback and the irreverent Gamer Life section.

Don't forget that as well as dropping this gorgeous ezine into your mailbox every Thursday night, we're also updating the website on a daily basis. If you're online, point your browser to www.futuregamer.com and you'll be kept bang up to date with all that's new in the world of videogames.

Preview: Outcast (PC)
A first or third-person action adventure game on the PC? Surely not. This genre's getting a mite too crowded but Infogrames reckon their game will shine through thanks to several new features. We put on our sunglasses and take an early peek.
Review: Omega Boost (PlayStation)
Omega Boost has an incredible pedigree. Programmed by Gran Turismo developers, Polyphony Digital, it's a cross between Afterburner and some mech-obsessed Manga comic. Stunning to look at but is there enough mileage in it?
Feature: Nintendo of Japan
A potted recent history of the gaming giants with the emphasis on the SNES and their attitude to Europe. Former Super Play (SNES-dedicated magazine) writer Jonathan Davies furrows his brow and wonders what the future holds for the big N.

Future Gamer was brought to you by: Andy Smith [editor], Steve Bradley [deputy editor], Vicki West [production editor] and Andy Ashwin [staff writer]. Contributors: Jonathan Davies, James Price, Gideon Kibblewhite, Dale Bradford, Tony Banks.
