New Lara ad campaign |
Codemasters' Brian Lara Cricket hits TV
With the cricket World Cup now firmly underway, Codemasters are to give Brian Lara Cricket a shot in the arm by promoting the game in a TV advertising campaign. The 10-second ads are set to run on Sky Sports beginning on May 28. Codemasters are also going to demo the game on PlayStation pods at grounds around the country.
"We take great pride in the fact that Brian Lara Cricket has been critically and commercially well received since launch and we're committed to continuing its position as the number one cricket brand," commented Mike Hayes, Codemasters' sales and marketing director. "With the recently launched PC version performing superbly, the television advertising will further support that and ensure that consumers know Brian Lara Cricket is the only cricket game for PlayStation available at retail this season".
EA's official Cricket World Cup '99 is due anytime, mind.
