Nintendo confirm they have no plans to sell DK64 without the Expansion Pak
Nintendo told IGN today that they have no plans to sell two different versions of Donkey Kong 64 - one bundled with the 4Mb Expansion Pak and one without it - this holiday season. Rather, all versions of the game will include the 4Mb Expansion Pak regardless of whether or not potential buyers already own it.
This, according to a Nintendo spokesperson, is because the company don't want to confuse their consumer base. By selling the game and Expansion Pak bundle at a regular price Nintendo can ensure that everyone who purchases DK64 will have no trouble playing it. And for those who already own a RAM Pak? You've got another one coming (free of charge) on November 22.
