South Park driving game for N64

Iguana developing racer based on South Park series

After relying on South Park characters and non-existent gameplay in the cunningly titled shoot 'em up (a loose term) South Park, Iguana Entertainment are now in the throes of developing a racing game. South Park Rally will feature a welter of the TV show's characters including Kyle, Stan, Cartman and Kenny. Although the characters will be driving cars (Cartman excepted - he's on a police tricycle), the game is not expected to be an out-and-out racer.

Some of the races demand you pick up a certain item and return it to your home base - a track shown at E3 involved you attempting to recover Cartman's Mega Mega Man doll. Each of the circuits is based around an episode of the show and there should be a plethora of samples from the series (Isaac Hayes' Chef will no doubt be involved).

Acclaim expect to release South Park Rally on the N64 around the end of the year.
