Half-Life Game of the Year Edition

Special packaging highlights top honours

Sierra Studios and Valve Software have announced that the Half-Life Game of the Year Edition will ship to retailers on June 30. Since its November '98 release, Half-Life has won over 40 Game of the Year awards and has sold more than a million units worldwide.

"Half-Life became a phenomenon because of its unique blend of intense action and provocative storytelling," said David Grenewetzki, president of Sierra On-Line. "Rarely has the gaming community and gaming press rallied so strongly around a single title. Our goal with this special Game of the Year Edition is to help spread the word about Half-Life's critical success to a much broader audience".

"The Internet gaming community has been a big supporter of Half-Life and from the beginning," said Gabe Newell, managing director of Valve. "We're very grateful for their support, and hope that by including TFC in the Game of the Year Edition of Half-Life, we'll be bringing even more gamers into that community".
