Metal Gear Solid missions

Konami look to release upgrade earlier than anticipated

The keenly anticipated Metal Gear Solid upgrade looks like it will hit the shelves in October as opposed to the original December release date that was set. Trade paper MCV speculates that Konami will be looking at a £29.99 RRP, although in the light of recent PlayStation price cuts it could be set lower still.

October is traditionally a massive month for videogame releases and 'big guns' Wipeout 3 and Resident Evil 3 should arrive in the aforementioned 31-day window.

In the new version of MGS you'll be able to take on a selection of new missions as well as play the game in the first-person perspective. You're already excited, aren't you?
