Playboy ordered to cover game title
High Court Judge Humphrey Lloyd has sided with Core Design in their bid to keep the words “Lara Croft” and “Tomb Raider” from the cover of Playboy magazine.
The August edition of the gentleman’s monthly features model Nell McAndrew, former Lara Croft, in the buff. She also appears in skimpy military get-up on the cover, alongside the contentious words.
An injunction has been granted, ordering that stickers be placed over the words in question on the cover of the 20,000 copies of the jazz mag sold in Britain. The ruling does not apply to copies of the magazine sold outside Britain.
Thankfully they haven’t decided to place stickers over any furry bits – not that we would know, of course.
