Want the latest on the home conversion of Capcom's upcoming sequel? Look no further
In a recent talk with Capcom, a representative from the Japan-based company revealed solid plans to develop Powerstone 2, utilising Sega's Dreamcast-based Naomi hardware. While the original wasn't quite the success they hoped it would be, Capcom apparently intend to simultaneously develop both Dreamcast and arcade versions.
Capcom were, however, quick to point out that nothing would be finalised until discussions had been completed with Sega Japan, but with many predicting success for the US conversion of the 3D fighter, a port seems likely.
Regarding the home version, a new mode will be included which allows players to design their own characters, including name, sex, look and fighting style. While unconfirmed at this point, they should then be able to go on and save the data to their Visual Memory Units, where they'll be able to load any characters they've made onto the Naomi version. We'll be back with more details as they materialise.
