Infogrames to Release V-Rally 2: Championship Edition

Yet another Dreamcast title headed our way from the European powerhouse

While checking out the handy new Dreamcast set-up in our local shopping mall, we stumbled upon a little bit of info we simply had to pass your way. It seems as if Infogrames are stepping up their Dreamcast involvement yet again with another racing title, and this time it's a DC version of V-Rally 2.

V-Rally 2: Championship Edition should give the likes of Sega Rally 2 some serious competition, featuring over 16 official World Rally Championship cars, as well as 10 unofficial classic bonus cars. The game is also going to sport over 70 tracks on 12 distinct courses, as well as multiplayer support galore, with the option of either four-player split-screen or online multiplayer action.

This obviously puts the game outside a 1999 release, and at press, Infogrames North America would only say that no such announcement had been made for the United States, despite the presence of in-store promotional material. We'll be back with more information as it surfaces.
