Soul Calibur on Friday

Get your dose of Namco's Dreamcast masterpiece earlier than expected

Rumours of an early release for Namco's fighting masterpiece spread around the Net early this week, sending hungry Dreamcast users into spasms of untold anticipation. Of course, we want our Soul Calibur just as much as the next guy, so we decided to do a little investigating. Our local importer revealed to us that the game is indeed scheduled for shipment to Japanese retailers on Friday and that she'd be receiving some copies the following morning.

Now, we trust our importer more than we trust our own mothers, so we're going to take her word for it and assume that we'll be seeing a near-naked Sophitia rendered in hi-res and at sixty frames per second by early Saturday. Woo-Hoo!

If you live near an import retailer, you may want to place the call to find out if you'll be able to join us in our Namco-induced joy-fest this weekend.
