Sega Ramping Up For Launch

Dreamcast launch programme in final stage

Sega Europe have appointed the 'suits' and they're now in the final throes of the launch programme which they hope will see the Dreamcast perform somewhat better than the lacklustre Saturn. Obviously, the personnel concerned are of no interest to us, but what is promising is that Future Gamer received a PAL Dreamcast last week.

That's right - some two months before launch (September 23 is lift-off, in case you didn't know), Sega are sending out Dreamcasts to the very vessels which could help their 128bit console sink or swim. Naturally, we want it to swim like a very fishy thing, and the fact that their PR campaign stretches to providing us with the hardware two months early is a splendid signal of Sega's intent.

Oh, and by the way, we're very much looking forward to seeing Infogrames' UEFA Striker on the new console.
