Sony Abandon PocketStation

Add-on won't be coming to these shores

Sony have told trade mag MCV that the PocketStation will definitely not be released in Europe.

You'll still be able to get the much sought-after gadget from importers, but expect to pay anything from £30 to £65. The PocketStation retails in Japan for £15. There are clones available through importers for as little as £20, although it's uncertain whether these are 100 per cent compatible with the supported games, which include titles like Ridge Racer Type 4.

However, it's believed that a revamped version will be launched over here alongside the PlayStation 2.
