Silicon Dreams Nail Their Colours to the Matrox Mast |
Dual-display support for Silicon Dreams' Warmonkeys
Billed as the first true 3D action/tactics game (but hey! We seem to have heard that somewhere before), Silicon Dreams' upcoming game Warmonkeys has been specially designed to work with Matrox Graphics' G400-based graphics cards which feature DualHead display. This essentially means gamers will be able to display the 3D view of the game world on their primary monitor while using a second monitor or TV to display other views, such as maps and first-person views of objects being shot at.
"We are very excited about the opportunities the new Matrox Millennium G400 provides in increasing the visual quality and gameplay of Warmonkeys. Matrox's DualHead functionality finally allows players to experience our game world as the artists intended and still keep track of the hundreds of game units on a full-sized map. And just wait until you start sniping! Having multi-screens is the way to play," said Chris Satchell, Technical Manager at Silicon Dreams.
There you go, folks. Just when you thought you'd upgraded your PC enough, you now have to go out and get yourselves a second monitor. Where's it all going to end, eh?
