Dear Future Gamer
Recently the news has got around the Future Gamer Forum that Future are converting their forums to Delphi. This presumably would require a login system, something that has been debated in the Forum for quite some time now. There are points both for and against this. Hopefully it will prevent spammers and repetitive boring arguments, but negatively, it will also discourage people from just dropping in and talking.
A moderator may make the Forum conversations feel more stifled and constricted. Although this would cut down on repetitive or abusive posts, if the moderator decided to remove posts that weren't games related then, in my opinion, this would probably kill the Forum. The mix of games talk and people's lives outside the Forum and games world is, I feel, what makes it great - it's always a good place to go for a laugh and a debate.

Fear not, Chris. I know the technical crew are looking at the Forum but rest assured they're simply trying to improve it. I'll fight tooth and nail to keep it the lively, buzzing place it is and if I get word that the Forum is being overly moderated, I'll have words. I'm immensely proud of it because it's one of the best games Forums I've come across - it's friendly and isn't populated by tech-obsessed PC owners, and I'll endeavour to keep it like that.
