The classic Dungeons & Dragons-style board game is arriving shortly at a computer near you
Talisman, Games Workshop's best-selling board game, is coming to the PC in early 2000. Random Games have secured exclusive electronic development rights to the title, in which gamers playing knights, wizards, dwarves and others of that ilk quest around a dangerous fantasy kingdom, battling monsters - and each other - in a bid to find a fabled talisman.
Although it's currently in development for the PC, Random have designed Talisman for easy translation to game consoles and other platforms. Its planned release is set for some time during the first quarter of this year.
800,000 units of Talisman have been sold since its inception in 1983, and if many of those punters get wind of the PC title, it's sure to be a hit.
