| Soul Calibur 2 Confirmed For Naomi? |
Is this the second Dreamcast game Namco have been promising?
Reliable Japanese arcade super site Amusement Graffiti had a big surprise for us when we were doing our daily online rounds earlier today. Listed on the site's upcoming arcade release list is none other than the tentatively titled Soul Calibur 2, set for a summer release. The title's platform? None other than the Dreamcast-friendly Naomi arcade board.
We're not sure if this is a mistake on the site's part, as they didn't make any noise with the information - not even with a news story on the front page. In fact, we contacted our Namco representative and he could "neither confirm nor deny" the information. Just thought we'd let everyone in on our little discovery.
In other Namco news, Amusement Graffiti also list an updated arcade release of Toukon Retsuden 4 as being published on the Naomi by Namco. We're not sure where this one came from as it seems out there to the extreme, seeing as how the original Dreamcast title was developed by Yukes and published by Tomy, but who knows what will happen if Namco continue their Naomi/Dreamcast support?
