The second coming of the Jaguar?
VM Labs have been proudly showing off their NUON technology at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, along with the first batch of games. Sadly, it looks like a piece of crap. With a launch line-up including Tempest 3000 and Iron Soldier, it looks set to go the way of Atari's Jaguar. It's even got a Virtual Light Machine, whereby the awesome power of the console is demonstrated through its ability to synchronise flashing lights with music. Our advice is to make your own NUON for a fraction of the price. All you need is a cheap, first-generation DVD player, an Atari Jaguar and some strong glue. And why does Jeff Minter insist on being involved in doomed projects?
