| Toy Story 2 Hits Dreamcast |
It's finally official: Buzz and Woody are returning to a Sega console once again
We all knew it was coming, but it still came as a shock today when Activision finally came out and announced that Toy Story 2 is finally on its way to Dreamcast in March 2000. As an adventure game it'll certainly be welcomed by Sega fans worldwide as the genre isn't exactly the console's most popular one.
Combining a unique mix of gameplay elements, Buzz Lightyear must take on five big bosses in a perilous quest to save Woody from an overzealous toy collector. Backed up by a crew of fellow toys, players travel across 15 levels, interacting with key characters and exploring environments from the movie. Although the game will be appearing on other formats, Activision were keen to stress that the version on Sega's machine will be the best one. According to them, Toy Story 2 will take full advantage of the Dreamcast's advanced graphics capabilities.
Available in March, the game has already hit both PlayStation and Nintendo 64 with reasonable success, so we see no reason as to why the Dreamcast version won't do well, providing Activision take good care of it. We'll let you know how the game is coming along as development progresses.
