Sony organise PlayStation 2 developer event
A hush-hush PlayStation 2 developers' conference will take place on August 12 at Shrigley Hall in Cheshire, according to trade paper MCV. DevCon '99 is the first gathering of European developers for PlayStation 2, and Sony supremo Ken Kutaragi is expected to attend.
"The main aim of the event is for developers to be able to hit the ground running," Sony's Director of Technology Paul Holman told MCV. "It is an extension of the Tokyo event which took place on March 2 and is the first 'here we go' event in the UK." Sony are expected to distribute development kits at the conference.
