Nibbles

As part of an extensive Soul Calibur promotional campaign, Namco will release a special limited edition set of phone cards in Japan. Each of the 27 cards will feature a character from the wonderful Dreamcast fighter. A complete set of nine cards will form a big picture of all the fighters from the game.

Atari have revealed the games that will feature on Atari Arcade Hits Volume 2 on the PC. They are: Asteroids Deluxe, Battlezone, Crystal Castles, Gravitron, Millipede and Warlords. And if that's not enough to keep you happy, you'll also find a lovely selection of retro desktop themes.

This September will see toy giant Mattel release a range of Barbie and Hot Wheels themed PCs in America. The Barbie PC comes complete with a flowery mouse, digital camera and an all over pink and purple floral design - and it can be yours for only $600. Imagine playing a bit of deathmatch Quake on that!

You start by choosing a 'soundy' from the six initially available - Tiny, Jelly, Snow, Fairy, Horo and Born. Each character has its own type of music and you'll need to make them dance to it in order to progress. The more points you get, the bigger your soundy will grow. Remember kids - the bigger the soundy, the better the dancer. Goo! Goo! Soundy is scheduled for a September 22 release and will support all the Konami music peripherals.

Choro Q Wonderful, the fourth instalment of Takara's cartoon racing game, is released in Japan on August 5. The action takes place in a world of cars, each having a life and distinct human-like personality. You can talk to other cars, upgrade yourself and even chat-up and date cars that you find attractive (what?). In the adventure mode you'll need to collect gold coins by working. One job involves watching over a herd of cows. Hmm... a cowboy car. How novel.
