Neo Geo in October

SNK's handheld to rival Game Boy?

SNK's Neo Geo Pocket Color handheld is set to arrive in the shops this October. There will be some 10 titles available at launch including Fatal Fury - First Contact, Puzzle Bobble Mini, King of Fighters R2, Dragons Wild, Metal Slug - First Mission, Neo Cherry Master, Neo Geo Cup '98, Crush Roller, Neo Mystery Bonus and Pocket Tennis.

With the price set at £59.99, Neo Geo is in direct competition to Nintendo's Game Boy Color. The 16bit machine is pretty good looking and can display some 146 colours. Whether it can get anywhere near the GBC in terms of sales remains a moot point (it won't) but we'll continue to chart its progress as part of our remit to cover all levels of gaming.
