More Colour for Game Boy Color

The future of Game Boy Color just got a lot more colourful. A programming house has just released a demo that shows the system displaying far more than Nintendo have said it can handle.

The demo bumps up the colour capabilities from 56 on-screen to a whopping 2,000 plus. Coded by a group of programmers at Icarus Productions, the demo shows seven pictures that utilise a vibrant, detailed colour palette. The pictures are still restricted by the Game Boy Color's 160x144 resolution, but they're still extremely detailed and impressive.
