Infogrames Commit to Dolphin

Giant publisher to support Nintendo's next gen console

At an Infogrames press-event in California, the French super-publisher announced their intention to fully support Nintendo's next-generation console. "We will support Dolphin with our key brand because we think it will be successful," said Jim Barnett, the company's CEO of North American Operations.

Though Infogrames have already started experimenting with Dolphin and PlayStation 2, they would not comment on what titles they would be launching for either console. Stan Roach, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Infogrames, said, "We've been investing in a long-term development strategy and updating our equipment for the next-generation of consoles for six months."

Interestingly, CEO Jim Barnett was also quoted as saying, "We believe Sony are the next winners in software technology and hopefully price-point."
