We play new DC footy game
We previewed Infogrames' PlayStation pretender to the football crown last week, but this week we've managed to have an early play with the Dreamcast version.
The main game engine's there and the game's playable, although it hasn't been optimised for play on PAL machines yet and developers Rage haven't put in the speed-up facility (it's currently running far too slowly). The ball physics still need some work, as do the player movements (you can kick a ball square and your player slides forward a yard with his leg in the air) and none of the commentary has been added, but it's certainly looking promising. In fact, we'd go so far as to say it's the best Dreamcast football game we've seen yet (cough).
It isn't due until the end of October so it's heads down at Rage while they tweak away, and between now and then you can expect the definitive review in Future Gamer.
