Nibbles page 2 of 3

Koei will release Winback for the N64 in Japan on October 1. Similar in many ways to Metal Gear Solid, Winback puts you in the role of a Special Forces agent whose mission is to recover a stolen satellite. As with MGS, enemies will react to sounds and visual cues, like footprints. With over 1,000 frames of animation for the main character and a killer four-player deathmatch mode, Winback is certainly one that we're looking forward to.

Future Gamer reader Andy Mitchell has created a rather lovely piece of software to help you all get the most out of Future Gamer. Future Gamer FrontEnd gives you easy access to all your copies of the weekly mag and it makes light work of downloading any issues that you haven't got. The intuitive interface makes it easy for you to search through your issues for a specific piece of information too. Best of all, it's free and can be downloaded now. Remember that it's in no way supported by Future Gamer's technical team, so any queries should be posted to the Chat Forum.

Hurrah! We've got three cracking demos for you lot this week. Shadowman from Acclaim will give you the willies with its creepy voodoo stylee, Jane's Fleet Command will float the boat of most RTS fans and System Shock 2 is just plain great. We've also got a patch for the lovely Speed Busters, which splats those bugs and offers improved multiplayer support. Get your demos and patches here.

New additions to the Hints and Tips database include Soul Calibur on the Dreamcast, Worms Armageddon on PC, Diablo on the PlayStation and WWF Attitude on N64.
