88 Games For Just £16.99?

Sounds too good to be true...

And it is. While we were flicking through the Daily Star newspaper (Thursday December 2) we stumbled across this fantastic offer on page 35 - "Super 88 Video Games Centre For Just £16.99". The games look rather poor, as you'd expect at that price, but more interesting to us was the design of the 'console'. For your £16.99, you get what looks like an N64 controller minus the analogue stick, containing 88 "spectacular games", which plugs directly into your TV.

If Sony threaten legal action over the design of the symbols on third-party PlayStation controllers, what on earth are Nintendo going to do about this? We reckon you'll have to get your order in quick if you want to enjoy such classics as Tanks, Bees, Planes, Bikes and other "crazy games". And what's that cheeky young pup playing while his cheesy dad grins? It looks very much like Pole Position on the Atari 2600 to us.
