Nuon To Launch Early 2000

No apparent reason to be excited

Samsung are set to release their DVD-N200 - a DVD player incorporating NUON technology - in spring for $499 (just over £300). Touted as "a dual movie player and family gaming console", the DVD-N200 will play DVD movies, audio CDs and games.

It's already beginning to sound like Philips's ill-fated CDi, with Samsung's promise of "interactive software" targeted at the "family market". But if you simply must have one, we'd advise you to wait a year and pick one up for around £50 at a car boot sale.
