Interact beat the big boys again with the new GameShark CDX
InterAct Accessories today announced that they have shipped GameShark CDX in the US, which is specifically made to work with the new 9000 series of PlayStation.
New buyers who bought a PlayStation in late spring 1999 will notice there's no parallel port on the system's back right side. The parallel port is where most official and unofficial peripherals are plugged into PlayStation. The GameShark CDX fits right into the memory card slot, bypassing that unnecessary little back slot.
What may be the best feature of GameShark CDX is that it supports codes for nearly 500 PlayStation games. Also, according to an InterAct official, the GameShark CDX has all the codes from past GameSharks too.
"The release of the newer 9000 series PlayStation eliminated the parallel port, so newcomers and veteran code hackers alike were left without the ability to exploit and connect their GameSharks," said Todd Hays, President of InterAct Accessories. "Gamers have come to expect the immeasurable value of hacking and inputting from the GameShark line of products. The CDX offers a solution for all new PlayStation 9000 series owners, while still offering compatibility with older versions."
One of the more innovative features of the GameShark CDX is the ability to unlock hidden data, artwork, soundtracks and even full-motion videos that often may not be seen without playing the game to completion. It also comes pre-loaded with over 1,500 codes and is packed-in with the How To Hack Like A Pro video, a complete tutorial on using the GameShark.
