Pokémon Gold for Game Boy Color tops the current Japanese multiformat chart, with a staggering 259,582 sales for the week (856,915 in total). Languishing in second place, with a mere 257,356 sales (858,950 in total) is Pokémon Silver. Konami's Tokemeki Memorial 2 for PlayStation occupies the third spot (thankfully there's no Pokémon Bronze), with an impressive first week total of 194,037.
Speaking of Konami, we just heard that their next PlayStation dating simulation, Want To See You ~ Your Smile In My Heart, is set for a February 2000 release in Japan. Craziest game title of the week? We think so.
The Dungeon Keeper 2 team at Bullfrog have collaborated with id Software to bring a unique character to the Quake III universe. A player model of Dungeon Keeper 2's lead character, 'Horny' the horned reaper, is available to download from the Dungeon Keeper 2 website.
Two new multiplayer maps for Half-Life: Opposing Force are available for download from the official Opposing Force website. Die-hard Half-Life fans will already be familiar with the excellent Frenzy and Crossfire maps, but now you get to use the meaty Opposing Force weapons. Hurrah!
