Cavedog Announce The Iron Plague

New add-on to Total Annihilation: Kingdoms offers up additional race and several new weapons

Top strategy developers Cavedog today announced details on their new add-on to Total Annihilation: Kingdoms, called The Iron Plague.

The expansion starts just after Aramon and Veruna's victory over Taros and Zhon. As the land of Darien struggles to rebuild itself, bounty hunters run across a strange, mechanical, bird-like object, obviously of human manufacture. Research on the object eventually leads to the discovery of the Creon, the fifth race of Darien. This new race is described as, "a DaVincian society complete with air, land and sea power". The new race will have access to a host of new weapons, including the Barnstormer, a human piloted air vehicle; the Tortoise, a steam powered tank; the Mechanic, a repair unit; and the Bomb Sprinkler, a small rotating device that showers explosives in a fan around itself.

In full, the new add-on will offer up 25 new single-player missions and 25 new multiplayer maps.
