Midway Put the Brakes on 4 Wheel Thunder Internet Play

Don't blame Canada, blame Sega

Rip ridin' it through some serious off-road terrain in Midway's upcoming 4 Wheel Thunder (previously known as Xleration) sounds like fun, but, unfortunately, you won't be doing it online. While developer Kalisto originally planned to include full online multi-player support over the Dreamcast Network, it no longer looks likely, due to Sega's inability to be ready in time for the game's projected March release.

Though rumour has it the online software development kit will hit development houses some time next week, it appears to be too little too late for Kalisto. Let's hope this isn't a trend for other Dreamcast developers. We've got Dreamcast modems and we want to use them!
