Eidos Shares Plummet

More games delayed

Shares in Eidos Plc crashed today (March 24) by as much as 50 per cent after the company warned of further financial dangers ahead. At the time of writing, Eidos shares stand at 300 pence, down 305 pence since close of trading on the previous day.

The company said that "sales of even our most successful titles have been lower than expected" as consumers await the next generation of consoles. As a result, Eidos have decided to delay the release of The Nomad Soul (Dreamcast), F1 World Grand Prix (PC), Tomb Raider (GBC) and Daikatana (PC) until the first quarter of 2001.
